Before establishing AIdent, the team had already been on the path of digital dentistry for a long time. The founder has been deeply involved in the domestic dental market for 7 years and is not unfamiliar with the real needs of frontline customers; The R&D partner, on the other hand, has invested over 15 years in the field of scanner development and has an almost stubborn sensitivity to technical details.
As early as 2020, we began small-scale testing and repeated validation of desktop scanners. That's more like a stage of 'slow work, fine work': breaking down problems, verifying hypotheses, overturning plans, and starting over again. In 2021, the first prototype intraoral scanner was launched. To be honest, it's not a mature enough product, but it gives us a clear direction - where we have to start over and where it's worth digging deeper.
